National Lobster Day

15 Jun

Pretend this bib says lobster, and that I don’t look like a distant cousin of Casper the ghost, that I own a yacht and have a maid and  own a small island near Fiji.

Lobster, so delicious and a bit pricey. I might have to give up my maid or yacht to cook regularly with it, but when I have it, man do I wish it was as accessible as chicken! Only one of the recipes below requires handling a live lobster. I personally get the heebie jeebies when considering throwing a live lobster into a pot of boiling water! I have no problem at all when someone else does it, and I can pretend I know nothing about the cooking process! I am doing a lot of pretending in this post…

Here are some recipes I have been drooling over!

Annie’s Eats Lobster night! Great step by step to preparing a lobster at home!

How Sweet It Is Lobster Mac and Cheese

Cooking Light’s, Lobster Risotto!

Chef Bob’s grilled lobster with herb butter (and how to cook a whole lobster)

Food and Wine’s Lobster Sliders

While you are at it, you should throw a lobster Party and make these adorable bibs with lobster trivia from the Design Sponge!
