Hola mis amigos! Thanks for stopping by our blog. My name is Amelia, and I am 6 months new to the military spouse lifestyle. And what a unique, fulfilling, and story-making life it is!
I have lived my whole life in the wonderful state of Texas and never thought I would venture much further, till I met my future husband. I grew up in San Antonio only to move one hour north after high school in pursuit of higher education. I attended the University of Texas at Austin and am a proud Longhorn. I enjoy all things art and fashion and find inspiration in the outdoors, bright colors, art museums, and bubble baths. Other hobbies include reading, sewing, cooking…and eating, of course.
My husband and I met through a mutual friend and embarked on a whirlwind romance only to be engaged 7 months later. Since our marriage, we have lived in a total of 3 different houses-quite the nomadic start to our new life together. We are finally settled in California-the farthest distance I have ever lived from home. I love this new and different world we have at our fingertips. I have to say, I am grateful for friends near and far who are constantly helping me figure out this new lifestyle!
